Did not love the whiskey color. Would’ve bought here in green but it’s priced higher here than it is with manufacturer. Contacted Zappos to find out why and did not receive satisfactory answer, so I bought it elsewhere. (Looks like red is priced here correctly.)

This bag in Whiskey is beautiful! The color is actually more like the color of caramel candy. The leather is very soft and the quality is just what I expect from Hobo. I absolutely love their products. I’ve given several wallets and purses as gifts and only have a tote and a wallet for myself until now. ? The Merrin style is perfect for day trips. It holds a book, water bottle, wallet, tablet, sunglasses, and other small items with ease. The cell phone pocket is deep and snug so no concern about it falling out. Something that is not shown in the photos is that you can cinch the backpack straps like a drawstring bag for a more casual look and also a more secure close, if you’re wearing it as a backpack in tight quarters such as on a subway. If you loosen the adjustable straps the whole way it can even be worn crossbody, so lots of wearing options. I often get a sore shoulder from carrying a heavy purse all day and this is my first backpack purse, so I’m really looking forward to being able to switch it up.
BTW this color is sold out on Hobo’s website, hence why I bought it here. As always Zappos was quick and easy to buy from.

This bag is awesome! it easily moves from a backpack to an over-the shoulder purse with just a easy tug of the straps. it holds so many things and has plenty of pockets for all of your things inside. there is one zipper opening on the outside of the bag that I use for my sunglasses and Covid mask. And there’s an additional pocket in the very back of the purse to hold your cell phone. (I won’t use it for my cell though bc if someone’s standing behind me, they could pull my phone out and I wouldn’t know.) The fabric inside reminds me of a Japanese tea party. it’s gorgeous. And last but not least, I can carry a real wallet in it and easily find my money and credit/debit cards. And… it’s SOOO LIGHT TO CARRY! I got the Jade Green – beautiful. I’ve received so many compliments. Worth the money!!

This bag is beautiful and versatile. It’s comfortable to carry all day worn as a backpack and the side zipper pocket is accessible while keeping it on your back, phone pocket too, which is convenient. Big enough to carry a 20 oz water bottle and travel umbrella as well as the usual items. I have the whiskey color and will use it year round. I love HOBO bags and wallets.

The bag is even better in person. The Lotus color is on the pink side but everything else is great.

I’m a huge fan of backpack purses and have been looking for an upscale version for a while. I’d never seen this bag in person but took a chance on ordering it and it’s perfect/I love it! The leather is so soft and truly beautiful! It’s a nice size, holds my full size wallet and other random stuff with room to spare! The hardware is also gorgeous and seems to be very high quality.
I did want to mention that the liner in the black one is a solid tan and not the colorful, floral lining shown in the pictures. I notified Zappos so they can review the current pictures. The photo of the interior could be changed soon and this may not be an issue but I did want to mention it in case it impacts your decision. The tan lining in the bag I received is the same lining shown on Hobo’s website.

Very disappointed. Not even remotely worth the price. Average quality at best, and arrived crumpled up in an Amazon box? And, I get it, it’s not Gucci, but even so usually bags at this price point at least come with a dust bag. Makes me wonder if I received a knock-off? Definitely returning….

Beautiful bag, very soft leather. Be aware that it is a MUCH lighter gold than pictured. Too light for me, had to return.

Silky and lovely leather arrived in perfect condition in its dust bag. I’m happy with the exterior pockets, the slip pocket holds my Samsung. Bonus pockets inside that hold all my stuff. I wish I’d tried this brand out sooner, it’s construction is on point. Very roomy inside, with a dual zipper close; very nice.
