Beautiful, soft, unpretentious bad. HOWEVER, it does not stand up on its own if you don’t have heavy stuff in it. Also, the closure is this dinky magnetic thing and when you close it, it bunches in the middle and the sides are open. Too bad. Terrible design. Don’t companies test things out on real people????? Or maybe they don’t have enough women designers…..

Beautiful bag with just enough room without being too big or too small. It fits my wallet and several other small items. Plenty of pockets inside to keep you organized. I especially like the outside pocket that just fits my phone. I would highly recommend!

I bought Hobo’s Pier when I needed a larger shoulder bag with a cross body option. I had my eyes on the grey color but it sold out. I took a chance on the Heavy Metal. I needed a neutral tone that would transition year around, hoping the color wouldn’t be too heavy on the metal. And??? I couldn’t be more pleased, and as a matter of fact, I’m in love with it!!! Everything perfect. The larger but not huge size, the magnetic closure for easy navigation, and all the generous pockets. And OMG the color and feel! It’s a gorgeous rusted, silver patina shade with a worn in look and feel, and an unbeliveably buttery soft texture. Like many Hobos before this one, I think I’ll have this bag a long long time.

I absolutely love this bag! I have been going back and forth on the color for awhile. Wasn’t sure on the shade of brown since colors vary when looking online but was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box. I love hobo bags I have many !

I love this bag but I wish they had nickel hardware, it’s a lot of brass and adds weight to the bag. Otherwise it’s perfect.

I loved this purse, but it was shipped to me in a flimsy plastic shipping envelope with no protective cushioning whatsoever, so part of the hardware was broken. Too bad because I would’ve kept it. Had to order it from the Hobo website.

I was looking for a classic black hobo style bag… I scored on finding this bag on Zappos site. It’s roomy yet not overly too big.. My Hobo Lauren wallet fits perfectly in this bag..
I will be carrying this bag for some time due to the quality of leather.

I bought the distressed gold/metallic looking one. The color looks more gray when you look at it but can see the metallic when light is shined on it. The leather is super soft, quality hardware. The pockets fit bigger phones and the size and style is exactly what I’ve been looking for. Now, is it a $300 bag? No. I’d say it’s overpriced by $100. But I kept it anyway.

I needed to replace my go-to everday purse. I ordered 2 Hobo bags to compare & choose between. This was the winner!
I love the finish (pearlized silver), and streamlined design with a few stitching details. The brushed bronze-ish hardware is sturdy, looks great, and is a great contrast with the soft silver leather.
The bag is just the right size for what I need every day, accommodating my rectangular wallet/clutch and sunglasses case in the main compartment with plenty of room for extras. And my phone fits easily into the outer pocket (which makes it very easy to find as well).
I like the standard shoulder strap length which will be for my regular use & the option to swap it out for the crossbody strap – the crossbody will come in handy on an upcoming touring trip.

I really wanted to love this bag, but the one major problem was that the clips for the straps are so heavy they pull the sides of the bag down making it frustrating to open. I love the interior, and the size, but for $300 it needed to be perfect.

The bag is nice enough, I’m just disappointed that the lining is plain beige/brown and not paisley like the picture.

This is a beautiful bag and I love the 2 detachable straps. I’m 5’8″ and the long strap is a good length for me, but it could be a few inches longer. I like that the straps aren’t adjustable because it looks more sleek. I also really like that the shoulder strap is detachable; it’s hard to find a crossbody with a detachable shoulder strap. Plenty of pockets for my phone, hand sanitizer, work badge, tissue, etc. I use the small outside slip pocket for my keys even though there is a key ring strap inside because I don’t care for the way the top of the purse falls with a phone in that exterior pocket. There are also 3 interior slip pockets plus a zip pocket. Looks expensive as all Hobo bags do, but I wish it came in smooth unpolished black leather rather than pebble leather. This bag is very roomy and once you fill it properly, the top tips over or sort of buckles nicely. I like the magnetic closure– easy entry yet secure because of the way the top tips over and it will save your hands and nails from zipper injuries. Train the top edges to stay together and tip over in the middle and it will be fully secure; no worries that someone could reach in or that anything will fall out. Hobo leather products last for many years, so it’s well worth the investment.

The bag is stunningly beautiful. It wasn’t quite big enough for daily use – I carry a small ipad and notebook in my bag, so I need something a little bigger. The color is a vibrant red and the bag is beautifully made. I just wish it was a tad bigger.

Loved the style, very nice quality. I did end up returning becuase I needed something just a little bit bigger for everyday. I was filling it a little too much for the magnet to catch and stay closed so it falls like in the photo. I wish I carried less stuff because I would have absolutely kept this otherwise.

Ordered this in taupe. The size is perfect and it’s basic and classy. The color is a light grey with barely a hint of beige, but leaned too much toward a dull putty color for me. The magnetic closure is awkward is why I’m returning. With the bag filled, the brown lining of the bag is exposed and edge of the bag awkwardly rubbed on the back of my arm. I’m a long time Hobo bag owner. The quality has declined over time – leather is thinner and lining is nondistinct. Hobo – please bring back soft matte leather and flower lining.

I didn’t even open up the package all the way because the moment that I saw the leather I knew this was going back. I ordered the Taupe color and it was far from what I expected. Rough looking pebbled leather. Maybe the look is the usual Hobo brand style? I don’t know. I think this bag is ugly 🙁
